Typography, motion & sound. These are all things that are often used in media. And they blend together perfectly in typographic animations.
Where the lyrics move and weave on the screen on the beat of the music, and I also took a stab at it.
I one song for this project out of 3 selections
UNSTABLE - Hashir
I like it because it has a nice Hip-Hop/pop type of beat that goes really well with the singing and lyrics. It's a bit of a love song where you get the feeling that the artist is hopelessly in love. It also has a bit of a melancholic feel to it.
Eighty-Five - again&again
This song already sounds a bit more upbeat. It reminds me a bit of summer because of the acoustic instruments that go well with the beat. The lyrics are a bit “deeper”. Wild thoughts about love etc.
move - brb.
This song has a very nice rhythm and is also very upbeat. This gives more of a dance feeling like at a party or in the club. The lyrics also suggest this, about how one loses oneself in the feeling of moving.
I ended up going for Unstable by Hashir.
MOODBOARD
First I created a moodboard, exploring different styles and effects which gave me a pretty good idea for what I wanted to do.
STYLEBOARD
Then I honed in on the styleboard, deciding which colours & font I was going to use. As well as effects and shapes. The fonts I decided to use were Azo Sans & Yesteryear.
Going back to the song, I dissected the lyrics into little parts to help me create storyboards.
MOVING STORYBOARD
Now I knew how I wanted the video to look like, so I got to work in Premiere Pro.
Throughout the video I created numerous assets along with the text. I often had background transitions into a new colour.

I think I did a pretty good job. This was my very first time creating a typography animation in Premiere Pro, And I have certainly learned alot.
